Olympia Weekly Week of September 8th | | |
 | |

| From the Principal Olympia Families, We have a lockdown drill practice this Friday which we will be assisted by both Judson and UC police. Please remind your kiddos that the most important part of these drills is to remain quiet and pay attention to adult directions.
On the Judson Thrillshare app, Mrs. Talley sent out a detailed description of the new House bill 1481 which prohibits students from using personal electronic devices (cell phones, gaming devices, etc) during school hours on school property. I will add this will have little impact on our school as we have always followed a similar policy from bell to bell with very few violations.
Clubs permission slips were sent home on Monday, Sept. 8th. Clubs will once again be during the school day. All students Kinder - 5th grade will participate in clubs. Filling out the club permission slip will help get your student into a club of their choosing. Please return the slips to your child's teacher as soon as you can. Our first clubs will be Friday, September 19. If your student did not make it home with their permission slip, you can follow the appropriate link to find the grade level's slip.

| | | Counselor CornerHello Families! I'm excited to get into our classrooms to teach your students! This year I am using a new curriculum for classroom lessons. Please see the family letter that is an overview of the lessons I will teach our students this year. The first unit is Growth Mindset and Goal-Setting. I will work with our students to help them learn that being good at something doesn't just happen. We have to keep practicing and not give up. I will work with older students about making a personal plan to reach a goal.
I'm so excited for the school year ahead of us!
