Military Families  

Welcome to the Judson ISD family! Our goal is to make your move to our district as smooth as possible. Judson ISD provides support to military-connected students and their families to ease the challenges they face due to transitions. Frequent mobility often affects student's educational, social and emotional livelihood. We provide strategies and opportunities for success to create a positive school climate that addresses the needs of military-connected students. We intend to make sure military-connected students receive the quality education they deserve. 
 

Relocation Information 
Introductions to the school environment and process are important for every new student. 

  • Ask the school counselor about our transition program.  

  • View the Clubs & Organizations tab for information on extracurricular activities and clubs at our school. 

  • Tutoring opportunities: 

    • Contact your child’s teacher for exact tutoring days and times. 

    • Tutor.com/military is a no-cost online tutoring and homework help service that is available 24/7 to U.S. military & their families 

  • View the Student Code of Conduct

Enrollment Checklist 
All Registration is completed using our online system, Skyward.  Register HERE.  
Please make sure you have the following documents that will need to be uploaded:  
1. Birth Certificate, 
2. Social Security Card 
3. Picture ID of Parent 
4. Immunization Record  

 
Prekindergarten For a Child of Armed Forces Service Members

The Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children 
The Compact deals with the challenges of military children and their frequent relocations. It allows for uniform treatment as military children transfer between school districts in member states.

Counseling And Support Services for Military Families 
Free counseling is available to military families. Learn more at Military & Family Life Counseling or visit the Military and Family Readiness Center on Randolph AFB at 555 F Street West, Randolph AFB, TX 78150. Call 210-652-5321 or 210-652-3166 for questions and appointments. 

 
Campus-based Military Liaison 
The Military Liaison will support military families, provide information about available resources, and offer professional development to campus staff.

  • The Comfort Crew for Military Kids helps support the social and emotional resiliency of military kids by providing a variety of free military kits. 

  • Endeavors: The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic provides high-quality, accessible, and integrated mental health care and many other services in person or via telehealth.   

  • Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) helps make sure the special medical and educational needs of military families with special needs are considered during the assignment process.   

  • Joint Base San Antonio Military Family Support View information for Health and Wellness; Education, Family Support, Civilian Employment, Dining and Shopping, Childcare and Youth Services, ID Cards, Community, Living Accommodations, Fitness and Recreation 

  • March2Success is a free, online program sponsored by the U.S. Army that helps students prepare for standardized tests, improve their schoolwork, and review materials.   

  • Mission Resiliency at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center program goals are for service members to gain insight and develop coping skills for a healthy life. It is their commitment to keep service members in a state of readiness. 

  • SchoolQuest is a free, easy-to-use solution that will save you hours of time and can help eliminate the academic challenges that many military-connected families face. 

  • Tutor.com offers No-Cost, Online Tutoring and Homework Help, 24/7. 4,000+ rigorously vetted tutors are available in more than 150+ subjects, including bilingual Spanish offerings in math, science, social studies, writing, study skills, and parent coaching.

  • United Way of San Antonio & Bexar County - Strong Families, Strong Forces is a program that aims to strengthen communication, connection and co-parenting skills. Designed for military families with children ages 0 to 17, SFSF is open to active-duty, reservist, national guard and veteran families.
